Ribba skirt – stylish and comfortable pencil skirt, perfect to combine with your knitted sweaters and cardigans.

SIZES: XS, (S, M), L, [XL, 2XL].
Corresponds to the body's hip measurement: approx. 88, (92, 100), 108, [118, 132] cm.

MESH DENSITY: 42 stitches & 37 rounds = 10 cm knitted in elastic (K2, P2) on the narrower needle, unstretched, after blocking.

YARN: about 1195, (1235, 1350), 1460, [1620, 1770] meters of a woolen yarn with good elasticity, our suggestion is Pernilla from Filcolana .

SPLINTERS: 2.5 mm circular needle 80-100 cm for elastic knitting - or a needle that gives you the right stitch density.
3 mm circular needle 60-80 cm for stockinette stitch (0.5 mm thicker than the needle that gives you the correct stitch density).

ACCESSORIES: leftover yarn in the same size but different colour, stitch markers, elastic band (width 2.5 cm) length approx. 74, (78, 86), 94, [104, 116] cm, safety pin, sewing needle and sewing thread for the elastic band, darning needle.

CONSTRUCTION
 Rib is knitted from top to bottom in one piece, without seams. The cuff starts with a provisional lay-up and is then knitted in stocking stitch. A tunnel for the elastic band is created when the cuff is knitted together. The skirt is then knitted in garter stitch, with shortened rows in the back, and increases on both the front and back. After the increases, the rest of the skirt is knitted straight, in elastic.

SIZE INFORMATION
 The skirt is meant to be worn with approx. 5 cm negative range of motion over the hips (i.e. the circumference of the finished garment will be approx. 5 cm smaller than the body measurements), as well as approx. 0 cm range of motion in the waist (ie roughly the same measurement on the garment as on the body). The skirt has a slightly lower waist, the cuff will sit just below the navel. Choose a smaller size if you are between sizes.
