Cheer up is a simple and stylish everyday hat.

A classic design that suits many people - knit for yourself, for all family members or as a gift for a friend.

The pattern is available in 8 sizes and 2 lengths: the short one is shown without folds, the long one is worn with a folded edge.
The short cap can also be folded up, for a tight fit around the head.

The length of the hat can be easily adjusted to your own preferences, if you, for example, want a longer top of the hat or a wider fold.
Keep in mind that you will need more yarn if you lengthen the cap.

SIZES: 1, 2, (3, 4), 5, 6, [7, 8].
Fits head circumference: 46–47, 48–49, (50–51, 52–53), 54–55, 56–57, [58–59, 60–61] cm.

MESH DENSITY: 34 stitches & 30 rounds = 10 cm knitted in elastic (K1, P1) with the narrower needle, unstretched, after blocking.

YARN: An elastic, multifilament wool yarn with approx. 200–250m/100g. Our suggestion is Sandnes Double Sunday (108m/50g).
Without folding: approx. 120, 125, (135, 140), 150, 160, [170, 180] meters.
With fold up: approx. 150, 160, (165, 170), 185, 200, [215, 230] meters.

SPLINTERS: 3.5 mm circular needle 40 cm and double pointed needles (or Magic Loop). 4.5 mm two circular needles (any length) for the lay-up.

ACCESSORIES: Stitch markers, darning needle.

CONSTRUCTION
Muntra is knitted from the bottom up in rib knitting. The hat starts with a tube lay-up. The decreases are knitted with double pointed needles or Magic Loop.
The temporary tube laying can be excluded and replaced with an elastic cross laying (for example double cross laying, eng. German Twisted Cast On) - in this case the pattern becomes suitable for beginners.
