Midnatssol (Midnight sun) is a super soft, light, airy, and full-bodied yarn with 25 grams per skein and 200 meters. Midnatssol consist of an exclusive blend of 54% baby alpaca, 10% merino wool (mulesing free), and 36% tencel. Tencel constitute the fine thread, holding together the fibers.

Midnatssol is produced specially for CaMaRose on a family-owned Italian spinning mill, with consideration for both environment and animal welfare, thus the merino wool used, is of course mulesing free and there is used Tencel in the yarn. The merino wool is from South America.

Midnatssol is perfect as a complimentary thread to other yarn qualities. Midnatssol is suitable for sweaters, cardigans, shawls, hats, baby, and children’s knitwear, using one thread, but also using several threads for chunky sweaters and cardigans.

The colour scale of Midnatssol is adapted to current trends and carefully selected to match CaMaRose’s other colour scales. As a complimentary thread to other qualities and by combining 2-3 strands of MIDNATSSOL, either in unicolour or in 3 different colours, you can make your own look.

The recommended needle size using 1 strand is 3.0 - 4.0 mm. Using several threads, you can go up to a 6.0 mm needle.

Recommended gauge:
1 strand on a 3 mm needle, 19-22 sts = 10 cm.
Alternative gauges:
2 strands of MIDNATSSOL on a 4 mm needle, 20-21 sts = 10 cm.
3 strands of MIDNATSSOL on a 5 mm needle, 14-15 sts = 10 cm.

The length is 200 meters per one skein of 25 grams.

It is recommended to HAND WASH the finished work, using wool detergent and lay the finished work flat to dry.

Tvätta och vårda

Detta garn mår bäst av att tvättas för hand med ulltvättmedel, exempelvis Eucalan. Låt plagget ligga i en balja med ca 4 liter vatten tillsammans med en tesked ulltvättmedel. Krama sedan försiktigt ut vattnet och lägg plagget på en handduk. Rulla handduken med plagget och pressa ut vattnet.

Har du en tvättmaskin som kan köra ett program med endast centrifugering kan du använda detta istället för att pressa ut vattnet i en handduk. Om du är osäker på din tvättmaskin rekommenderar vi att du stickar en provlapp som du tvättar och centrifugerar för att se hur garnet och tyget beter sig.

Låt plagget torka plant, gärna på en handduk. Plagget ska inte torkas i direkt sol, det kan utan problem vara i sol när det är torrt.
