This is a printed pattern in Swedish.
The September hat is knitted in the round on circular needles in stockinette stitch from the bottom edge up towards the top. The hat uses Italian cast-on to get a nice edge. Decreases are worked at the top of the hat. Note that it is knitted with one strand of Sunday and two strands of Tynn Silk Mohair (or other yarn that provides the right knitting strength).
Also note that when working English rib on circular needles, the English rib stitches on every other row will be knitted as knit stitches and every other row as purl stitches. There are videos on the techniques used in the pattern at www.petiteknit.com.
If the knitting tension is respected, the width of the hat is 23 (23) cm, when it lies flat and is slightly pressed out to the sides.
Sizes: Fits head circumference 54 – 56 (56 – 58) cm
Knitting strength: 12 stitches x 38 rows in English rib on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm (measure the tension while lightly pressing and stretching the swatch to the sides)
Knitting suggestions: Circular needle 4.5 mm (40 cm), double pointed needles 4.5 mm (if not knitted with Magic Loop technique)
Material: 50 (50) g Sunday from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 235 m) together with 50 (50) g Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn (25 g = 212 m), possibly thin elastic thread ( knitting elastic ). Note that you knit with one thread Sunday and two threads Tynn Silk Mohair at the same time, and that the yarn consumption indicates the total yarn consumption.
