The hat is knitted from the bottom up in elastic in Alpakka Wool and Alpakka Thread .
It is cast on with Italian cast on for an elastic edge. The hat is then worked in rib with a folded edge. The piece is turned inside out and worked in rib with decreases at the top.
Italian binding and ribbing make the hat elastic and fit well on the head.
STRETCH GAUGE: 28 sts when the piece is stretched a little and 27 rows rib with 1 thread of each quality on needles size 3½ = 10 x 10 cm
- Recommended needles: Knitting needles size 3½
- Mesh density: 28 M = 10 cm
The number of skeins is based on the measurements given. If you want longer garments, remember that you may need extra yarn.
