Half-mitten Pilea
Simple and well-fitting half gloves with thumb wedge.
Named after my favorite houseplant – pilea peperomioides, elephant ear.


SIZES: XS/S (M/L). Fits hand circumference 17–18 (19–20) cm.
Finished measurements: circumference 15 (16) cm, length 19 (20) cm.

MESH DENSITY: 34 stitches & 34 rows = 10 cm, knitted in rib (3 rows, 1 P), unstretched, after blocking.

YARN: 130 (150) meters of a yarn of about 200m/50g. Our suggestion is Tynn Peer Gynt from Sandnes .

SPLINTERS: 2.5 mm circular needle 80–100 cm for Magic Loop, or double pointed needles.

ACCESSORIES: Stitch markers, stitch holder or leftover yarn, darning needle.

CONSTRUCTION
The half mitten Pilea is knitted in the round without seams, from the bottom up, in 3x1 elastic.
The thumb is knitted in stocking stitch and finished with 1x1 elastic.
Both half mittens are knitted the same.
