Ellen's Cardigan is knitted from top to bottom with raglan increases, back and forth on circular needle., The neckline is shaped using shortened rounds. The cardigan is knitted in stockinette stitch, while elastic is knitted along the front edges to create button placket. Buttonholes are made last, and are therefore not knitted by hand. Internal pockets are knitted on the torso. The sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch on double pointed needles or with Magic Loop technology.
