Peer Gynt has been on the market since 1938 and the structure of the yarn means that it has become a favorite for knitting cardigans. Peer Gynt is still as popular a yarn today as it was then. In the fall of 2022, Sandnes launched a thinner variant, it is exactly the same yarn with the same good properties. Garments made of Norwegian wool feel light and become much softer every time you use it. Norwegian wool is durable and has very good tension, which means that the garments keep their shape over time. Think about the environment: wool breathes and rarely needs to be washed, so we recommend that the garment be aired. Garments made of Norwegian wool have a long lifespan and can be beautiful for several generations. This makes Norwegian wool part of a more sustainable mindset.

Peer Gynt and Tynn Peer Gynt use the same fiber and are produced in different thicknesses. Tynn Peer Gynt is a 3-ply yarn and Peer Gynt is a 4-ply yarn.

If you are washing in a machine, we recommend that all wool garments are washed on a separate wool cycle for the most gentle treatment. Spin the garment well before drying it flat, preferably on a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted garments - this creates friction and can cause the garment to pill.
