The sweater is knitted top down in Poppy.
First, stitches are cast on for the back piece, which is worked back and forth with turning rows to form a deeper neckline. The back piece is worked down to under the sleeves.
Furthermore, stitches are knitted along each shoulder for the right and left front pieces, which are knitted separately with turning rows and increases for the neckline. The front pieces are knitted together and knitted back and forth down to under the sleeves. The front and back pieces are gathered together and knitted further in the round. Stitches are knitted around each armhole for the sleeves, which are knitted in the round in stocking stitch. Finally, stitches are knitted for the neckline, which is knitted in rib, and folded double towards the wrong side.
