Knitting for Olive is a yarn producer from Denmark. With a magical color range, high quality and clear goals for animal and human welfare, they have taken the yarn world by storm.

Merino wool has many fantastic properties, it regulates the temperature and keeps us warm even if the wool gets wet. The merino wool in this yarn comes from sheep living in Patagonia, where muesling does not occur. The wool can also be traced back to the farm where the animal lives. The spinning mill in Italy adheres to ethical, technical and environmental standards to create a yarn that is free of harmful chemicals.

The yarn is certified with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®

  • Material: 100% merino wool
  • Length/weight: 250 m/50 grams
  • Recommended needle: 3 mm
  • Stitch strength: 28 mx 34 v / 10 x 10 cm
  • The yarn is produced in Italy

About color reproduction

We always do our utmost to ensure that the product images reproduce the colors correctly. However, monitors display colors differently, some may display them deeper and stronger while others brighter. We therefore cannot guarantee that the pictures show the exact color of the yarn. You can always email us at hej@lillagarnbutiken.se if you want to see more pictures.

Wash and care

This yarn is best washed by hand with wool detergent, for example Eucalan. Let the garment lie in a tub with about 4 liters of water together with a teaspoon of wool detergent. Then gently squeeze out the water and place the garment on a towel. Roll the towel with the garment and squeeze out the water.

If you have a washing machine that can run a spin-only program, you can use this instead of squeezing out the water in a towel. If you are unsure about your washing machine, we recommend that you knit a test patch that you wash and spin to see how the yarn and fabric behave.

Let the garment dry flat, preferably on a towel. The garment should not be dried in direct sunlight, it can be in the sun without any problems when it is dry.
