ISAGER SOFT FINE is a yarn that consists of a silk core where a thread of alpaca and yak is first created as a bouclé yarn and then brushed up. The yarn is incredibly soft and even though it is made in a completely different way than Isager Soft, it is like a little sibling in yarn terms, hence the name Soft Fine.
Soft Fine contains wool from yak and it is this wool that gives the yarn depth and life, because yak is a dark fiber. The soft appearance makes the yarn similar to Silk Mohair but it is different to knit in - especially if you wish to knit in just one thread.
- Material: 63% alpaca, 26% silk and 11% yak
- Indicative knitting tension 16-21 stitches x 26-32 rows.
- Recommended needles: 3.5-4.5 mm.
- Weight / length: 25 grams = approximately 150 meters.
- The work should be washed by hand with wool detergent and then dried flat.
- The yarn with the brown banners is undyed (also mentioned with an E in the name).
- The yarn with the black banners is dyed.
- The yarn is spun in Peru.
